To Get There:

By road:

Make your way towards Bristol on the M4 or M5. At the M4 J20/M5 J15 intersection take the M4 towards South Wales. At J21 turn on to the M48 towards Chepstow. Leave the motorway at J1, just before the Severn Bridge. You will see Aust church tower to your left. Take the A403 towards Avonmouth. After 300 yards, at the end of the lay-by, turn left into Aust village, the village hall is on the corner and the church is on the left after 200 yards.

By rail:

The nearest major station is Bristol Parkway and there are closer minor stations at Pilning and Severn Beach. For train times ring National Rail enquiries on 08457 484950  or visit their web site.

Although there are not many trains at weekends, or other times convenient for concerts, the line from Bristol Temple Meads to Severn Beach does seem to be making an effort to  provide a service that people might want.

At present, the timetable shows a train leaving Temple Meads at 18:04 on a Saturday, arriving at Severn Beach at 18:41 — ample time to walk the four miles to Aust, find a taxi or, if all else fails, ring us for a lift. After the concert, a prearranged lift or taxi will get you to Severn Beach for the last train to Bristol at 22:54.

By bus:

First Badgerline X11 and X14 buses occasionally run from Bristol via Aust to Chepstow and Newport:, for details ring 0845 606 4446 or visit their web site.

Buses are not really a sensible way to try to get to anywhere in the countryside, especially at the sort of times when we might have a concert.

On Foot:

The Director of Music can verify from experience that it is possible to walk the fifteen miles from the centre of Bristol to Aust by a mostly cross-country route in eight hours at a leisurely pace, but you will probably get rained on.
